A Star-Spangled Salute 2026

Bring a lawn chair and join The Reston Chorale and Brass Band of Northern Virginia at Reston Town Pavilion on Sunday, May 25th, for A Star-Spangled Salute. This free, family-friendly event will honor the men and women serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

When: Sunday, May 24, 4:00-5:30 pm
Where: Reston Town Center Pavilion
What:
> Free concert of patriotic music and songs that celebrate America,
> Family Activities, including a "Mail Call" station for troops where children and adults can create special thank you cards for military and temporary Patriotic Tattoos.
> A care package drive to thank and support troops serving overseas.
How: Tickets are not required, but we encourage you to register so that we can update you in case of weather-related changes or the addition of new care package drop-off locations.

OPERATION CARE PACKAGE
Donations Accepted: Sunday, May 24 - Friday June 6

The event will also kick off Operation Care Package, a drive to collect and ship care package items to America's military personnel serving overseas. Since 2015, The Reston Chorale's has shipped more than 2,000 pounds of care package donations to troops serving in the Baltic region, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, reminding those serving far from home that they are remembered and appreciated. In 2025, Operation Care Package will support troops serving in Northeast Asia.

Donations may be dropped off:
> Sunday, May 24, 4:00-5:30 pm, during A Star-Spangled Salute , Reston Town Center Pavilion.
> Tuesday, May 27-Friday, June 6 in Reston Town Center office lobbies. Additional drop-off locations may be announced. Be sure to register to receive updates!
