A Star-Spangled Salute 2026

Bring a lawn chair and join The Reston Chorale and Brass Band of Northern Virginia at Reston Town Pavilion on Sunday, May 25th, for A Star-Spangled Salute. This free, family-friendly event will honor the men and women serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

When:Sunday, May 24, 4:00-5:30 pm
Where: Reston Town Center Pavilion
What:
> Free concert of patriotic music and songs that celebrate America,
> Family Activities, including a "Mail Call" station for troops where children and adults can create special thank you cards for military and temporary Patriotic Tattoos.
> A care package drive in partnership with Soldier's Angels to thank and support troops serving overseas.
How: Tickets are not required, but we encourage you to register so that we can update you in case of weather-related changes.

OPERATION CARE PACKAGE
In Partnership with Soldier's Angels

Since 2015, The Reston Chorale's has shipped more than 2,000 pounds of care package donations to troops serving in the Baltic region, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and Eastern Europe, reminding those serving far from home that they are remembered and appreciated. Care packages contained everything from snack foods to lightweight sports equipment.

This year, we are pleased to partner with SOLDIERS' ANGELS to ship individual care packages to service members around the world.

There are several ways you can support our troops:

• Make a financial donation to Soldiers' Angels. Donations not only fill care packages, but help get them to troops! (Each care package costs approximately $25 to ship to individual service members.)
• Shop from Soldier's Angels' "Go Camo" Amazon Wishlist to help fill care packages with items ranging from snack foods and water flavorings to playing cards, personal hygiene products and cushioned athletic socks.

Thank you for reminding the men and women that serve our country that people back home appreciate them!
