* Join us for A STAR-SPANGLED SALUTE on May 27th, a free patriotic concert honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and OPERATION CARE PACKAGE (May 27-June 13), a care-packages-for-troops drive thanking those who serve.

Bring a lawn chair and join The Reston Chorale and Brass Band of Northern Virginia at Reston Town Pavilion on Saturday, May 27th, for A Star-Spangled Salute. This free, family-friendly event will honor the men and women serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
When: Saturday, May 27, 7:30-9:30 pm
Where: Reston Town Center Pavilion
What:
- > Free concert of patriotic music and songs that celebrate America,
- > A "Mail Call" station for troops where children and adults can create special thank you cards for military
- > A care package drive to thank and support troops serving overseas.
How: Tickets are not required, but we encourage you to register so that we can update you in case of weather-related changes or the addition of new care package drop-off locations.
A Star Spangled Salute is sponsored by the Overton Family Trust in loving memory of Dr. Eugene Overton, Captain, United States Navy.
OPERATION CARE PACKAGE
Donations Accepted: Saturday, May 27 - Tuesday, June 13
The event will also kick off Operation Care Package, a drive to collect and ship care package items to America's military personnel serving overseas. Since 2015, The Reston Chorale's has shipped more than 2,000 pounds of care package donations to troops serving in the Baltic region, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, reminding those serving far from home that they are remembered and appreciated.
